BEFORE YOU BOOK
Important delivery details to include
- Full street address and suburb
- Venue name, unit number or apartment access details
- Any stairs, lifts, loading bays or narrow gates
- Preferred delivery and collection timing
- Whether furniture needs to be carried a long distance from the vehicle
These details help keep the delivery estimate realistic and avoid surprises later.
Why access details matter so much
Two sites in the same suburb can require very different delivery handling. A ground-level backyard with direct side access is very different from an apartment venue with lifts, corridors and a narrow delivery window.
The more accurately the access is described, the easier it is to provide a realistic delivery and collection plan.
Think from the vehicle to the final placement area
A useful way to assess access is to imagine the full path the furniture needs to travel. Where can the vehicle stop? Is there a gate, hallway, lift or stairwell? Is the final area upstairs or a long walk from the unloading point?
Even simple furniture hire can take much longer when the carrying distance is long or the route is tight, so it is best to mention those details early.
A realistic quote starts with the full picture
When you send a quote request, include anything that could affect delivery: time restrictions, shared access, concierge requirements or difficult parking. A quick photo can help if the site is unusual.
That makes the estimate more useful and helps us confirm a practical final booking total.
